Weekly Newsletter

Monday 18th March

Dear Parents and Carers,

Last week was a very busy week. We welcomed M&M Theatrical Production in and they performed their show of Jungle Book. We were also lucky to have African storytelling workshops led by Masai Cultural Arts which everyone enjoyed.

Children in KS2 were involved in Breath Clean workshops last Thursday. They looked at the impact cars have on them and the environment when they are parked with engines idling. Mr Luck and a few school ambassadors (Yoana, Leo, Leonardo, Winnie and Dzhan) went out at the end of the school day to speak to parents and grandparents to ask them to turn their engines off.  Thank you to those parents/carers who had already switched off and those that did when asked by the children.

It was great to see some of you attend the Sleep workshop delivered by Educational Mental Health Practitioners from the Mental Health Support Team. We hope it has a positive impact on your children.

Thank you for supporting Comic Relief on Friday. There were some very crazy hair, hats and we raised £299.79.

We look forward to welcoming you in for parent consultations this week. We hope you have all been able to sign up and are either attending remotely or face to face. If you are coming in, you will have the opportunity to look at your children’s learning in their books. however If you have a remote appointment,  please speak to the relevant class teacher, to arrange this.  If you haven't yet booked and would like to please speak to the office.

Did you know that turning on the subtitles on your TV at home is an good way to get your child reading? Please visit https://turnonthesubtitles.org/parents/ to see Hollywood legend Jack Black explain how you can turn screen time into reading time in 10 seconds.

Before the end of term please pop in to check lost property.  The best time is pick up at the end of the school day.
