With the World Cup underway we know some of your children may want to watch England play, which is on Wednesday night, late. For this reason the school register will be open as normal however registration we will not close until 10am. We would rather you bring them in a little later than keep them off for being tired!

Next week is Heritage Week. The week will begin and end with non-uniform days. Children are invited to wear traditional dress that represents their culture, or a t-shirt in the colours of a flag, or a t-shirt with a homemade flag attached.
We still have a number of holidays being taken during term time. Whilst we understand the financial pressures and the cost of holidays at the end of July and the end of August: Please be mindful of the impact this has for children missing school for any period of time.
Over the coming weeks there are schools trips for some year groups. Please check with your child's class teacher for more information if necessary.

Message from Dame Rachel de Souza
Children’s Commissioner for England
Good morning,
As Children’s Commissioner, I am writing because I have received a small number of responses from children and young people at your school to my national survey, The Big Future, and I would like to thank you for your support so far.
I am now asking for your help in encouraging even more pupils to take part: http://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/thebigfuture.
It is crucial that I hear from as many children as possible in every school and college, in every community, across the country. The more pupils who participate from your school, the more accurately their experiences, views and aspirations will be reflected in the national picture that will help shape future policy.
At a time of significant change for children and young people, it is more important than ever that their views are reflected in policymaking. Through this survey, I can take the voices of your students directly to the centre of government.
This week is Drowning Prevention Week and the children have learnt about the Water Safety Code to help them stay safe in, on and around water, emphasizing awareness, preparation and emergency response. Parent resources can be found at Parents Resources | Royal Life Saving Society UK ( RLSS UK )
Thank a Teacher day is on 17th June and we would like to say thank you to our teachers and teaching staffing for the dedication, creativity, and care they bring to their classrooms every day.

She also composed solo piano pieces, a piano concerto, chamber music, choral pieces and songs.
