Dear Parents and Carers,
This week you received a snapshot of how well your child is doing at school. There will be time at parent consultations in the week beginning 24th March to discuss this information.
Safer Internet Day is tomorrow, 11th February. The theme for this year is ‘Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online.' The children will have a heightened focus on online safety during this week, which is taught throughout the year. With increasing numbers of children having phones and gaming online at home, the importance of staying safe online is essential. We will be running a parent workshop over the coming months to ensure parents have the tools to support their child.
The Herts for Learning Wellbeing Team have produced an online safety newsletter for parents: The newsletter includes reviews and details about:
• Safer Internet Day
• Guides and toolkits
• Instagram Updates
• Roblox Safety Updates
The football team start playing their matches this week, they are away to Northgate on Friday.
We have a few families whose children are late after the register has closed. Whilst we understand that the traffic in town can be very busy, please try and get your child in school on time, doors open at 8.45am and close at 9am.
Arriving 5 minutes late every day adds up to over 3 days lost each year which is 20 lessons missed.
Arriving 15 minutes late every day adds up to 2 weeks absence a year which is 55 lessons missed.
Arriving 30 minutes late every adds up to 19 days absence a year, which is 123 lessons missed.

Superhero Competition - Half term activity
Sky Arts is giving primary school pupils across the UK and Ireland the chance to win an exclusive masterclass with legendary Marvel artist, Will Sliney. The winning class can look forward to a visit from Will for an epic draw-along lesson in June.
All they need to do is create their own superhero with special artistic powers. Whether it’s drawing portals to alternate worlds or controlling the weather with music, we can’t wait to see the creative ideas they come up with.
See the entry form for more information but children can use any sheet of A4.
