Tonight, we celebrate 20 years of Think Dignity — and the constellation of people, programs, partnerships, and acts of compassion that made those two decades possible.
Since 2006, our community has worked together to restore, defend, and advance basic dignity for people experiencing homelessness in San Diego. Tonight is a chance to honor that history, celebrate the people who brought us here, and recommit ourselves to the work ahead.
Thank you for being part of our constellation of dignity.
Twenty years of impact has been possible because people like you choose to invest in dignity.
Your support helps Think Dignity provide basic-needs resources, expand access to justice, elevate lived experience, and advocate for solutions shaped by the people most directly affected by homelessness.

For years, David “Waterman” Ross provided clean drinking water to people living on the streets of San Diego and advocated fiercely for the dignity of our unhoused neighbors.
A supporter and partner dating back to Think Dignity’s earliest Girls Think Tank days, David embodied the simple but powerful belief that every person deserves access to the basic necessities of life.
Tonight, we honor his lifetime of service and the legacy he left behind.

Twenty years ago, Think Dignity began with a simple belief: people experiencing homelessness deserve to be heard, respected, and treated with dignity. That work has always belonged to a community.
To our clients, advocates, volunteers, staff, Board members, donors, partners, supporters, and friends — past and present — thank you for helping make 20 years of dignity possible.
Here’s to what we continue to build together. Cheers to twenty years!
