Laziness. It's the quality of being unwilling to work or use energy. It's also a trait that often has very negative connotations associated with it. Now, of course, anything done in excess, as is the case with laziness, can have detrimental effects. This hurts me deeply as something I hold close to my heart is so often used to berate people all across the world. When used correctly, laziness can become a person's most prized asset. Don't believe me? Well, just ask some of the greatest minds in history from Issac Newton to Albert Einstein. All their greatest achievements stemmed from laziness. In reality despite popular belief laziness is the mother of modern human innovation. Throughout my workshop I will also encourage my audience to participate in activities that provide insight on more intangible concepts surrounding the topic of laziness. I could go on, and on but I will save the rest for the session. For now sit back, relax and allow me to show you how laziness is the key to success.
Flynn Joseph is an Indian student at Park House English School. As an Indian he felt immense pressure from his parents to be productive, perfection was the norm. Perhaps it was due to this environment that he made the biggest discovery in his life, the power of laziness. Ever since that moment he has never looked back. He has been a prominent member of Model United Nations since year 7; including working as Vice president and Head of extracurricular activities at Doha British School's own Model United Nations. He has attended over 8 conferences including Harvard Model United Nations in Beijing. He has won second place in the Qatar National Scratch Coding Competition. He now looks to conquer his next challenge, the Qatar Leadership Conference. All it took for his transformation was a change of mindset, and he is here to show you how laziness is the key to success.
