As J.K Rowling once said, “Rock bottom became the solid foundation in which I rebuilt my life”. One should remain committed to being grateful and stand with resilience, as feeling sorry for yourself, is merely an excuse to hold back and accomplish nothing. Awaking the strength present deep inside you shall overthrow the struggles you face and allow you to stand up proudly knowing that you have survived the battle. This session hopes to educate the audience with meaningful experience to accent to change and adapt easily. A resilient leader is a person who maintains a positive attitude and a strong sense of opportunity during periods of turbulence and finds a way to move forward and avoid getting stuck. We hope to reach the minds of the audience and enhance their coping mechanism and change the way they view obstacles by encouraging a positive and engaging session.
Anam Fatimah is currently a grade XII student at Birla Public School. Starting her MUN journey in grade IX and is an active member of the MUN club and is always out there to help and prove to be a reliable resource. It brings her joy in being a part of a community that is working towards making a global change. She believes in creating rewarding experiences by volunteering, giving back and contributing in making this world a better place. Anam’s dream is to become a surgeon and work with the dedication, compassion and resilience goes hand in hand to add to the cause. Her ability to communicate with reason, emotion, passion and restraint-whatever the situation calls for is greatly appreciated by her peers and teachers. She recognizes that listening to other people’s opinions, even when they contradict her own is an important part of being a leader and having every one heard. This gives her way to endure her passion for writing and public speaking. Anam is a driven student, her rich experience and executive attitude for constructive outcomes towards both, MUN conferences and other pursuits is a highlight.
Ghenwa Al Zain is a senior student at Birla Public School. She is an active member of the MUN Club, and has attended several MUNs in the past and got the opportunity to be a deputy president too. MUN has helped her expand her knowledge about global issues and further enhanced her problem solving in a more constructive and analytical form. QLC developed her leadership skills and she grew passion for leadership. Ghenwa has a vigorous character. She is an active member in society as she often volunteers and hopes one day to pursue her career as a lawyer. She tries to be a volunteer in as many programs as possible. In 3 years QLC and MUN developed her personality to a more confident and diplomatic leader and shaped her into these marvellous characteristics, and encouraged her to be a part of the Student Council in her school. She made tremendous efforts in imposing new ideas given out by her peers. She made sure she as well as her peers are heard and not silenced. She believes that no matter the obstacle a person can succeed and achieve any goal in life and nothing can hold them back.
