You can have the knowledge, the vision of the path you wish to take and the motivation to create change, but execution requires confidence. This workshop addresses the various 21st century skills needed to become a successful leader in a globalised world and what you can do to contribute to meeting the Sustainable Development Goals. It will equip you with the necessary tools required to lead and make a difference to your respective communities.
There are many opportunities and platforms available to help you but real change starts from within. Join us to take the time to reflect on your skills and what you can work on so you can lead with confidence.
Ayan Said is a professional educator, youth ambassador and the director of 'Voicing Voices'. With a focus to address the impact of intersectionality on achieving the sustainable development goals in 2030, Ayan seeks to develop social change through education and finding solutions to provide access to rights.
Ayan is passionate about international development, human rights and advocating for various causes. She has spent time travelling and advocating for youth leadership and women rights in Asia, Europe, and most recently in the Middle East with Qatar Foundation as a teacher and student leadership coordinator.
She has worked in low-income countries and witnessed how education can improve social issues caused by poverty and how to practically apply that into society. She has volunteered with women right's charities and gained insight into how with the right support, barriers can be overcome.
Ayan founded ‘Voicing Voices’ as a platform to research and develop inclusivity and diversity in communities and organisations. Ayan is also a personal development blogger focussed on mental health and the multi-layered discrimination women and young girls face. She actively engages with community members, holds workshops that raise awareness, and facilities activities that contribute to achieving the SDGs in 2030.
