In this session, students delve into what sustainability means to them personally and to the built environment. QGBC Introduces green building principles and goals and help them recognize high performance buildings through sharing examples from the built environment. QGBC will help them identify green building components such as sustainable sites and efficient water systems, energy efficiency, materials and resources and indoor environment quality. We will tackle challenges and explore and innovate green building solutions. The session helps students develop a sustainability mindset, empowers them to improve the health of occupants and identify strategies and best practices to reduce building footprint.

Ruba is a LEED Faculty BD+C, and is working as a Technical Specialist at Qatar Green Building Council, Ruba has managed and prepared a variety of sustainability oriented programs, workshops, guidelines and initiatives to promote sustainability and green practices targeting various community entities. Ruba has worked to provide sustainable assessment and consultancy services to drive sustainable performance, efficient operation and promote environment friendly culture. In addition to her work as a technical specialist for QGBC offered programs like Green Key, Eco-Schools and EcoCampus programs in Qatar.
