Workshop Synopsis
Speaking for the sake of speaking or talking is not a correct way of communication and doesn’t benefit anyone. A leader or a good communicator must have the quality of conveying a message which can instantly connect with their listeners. This workshop will cover how to focus on what your audience is actually hearing, how to ensure that your message is meaningful and valuable, how to adapt your message to your audience, and how to build rapport with your audience. The session will cover detailed analysis of all the above tips along with real life examples plus many other tips and examples which will be shared with the audience so they can get the benefit and have learning as take away.

Girish Jain
Girish Jain is a finance professional and a resident of Qatar for last 22 years. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois, USA and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditor, USA. He is also a law graduate from University of Delhi.
He is working as Finance Manager for MAN Energy Solutions Qatar, a joint venture of Volkswagen and Qatar Navigation to provide solutions to shipping turbo engine. Earlier in his career, he worked for Qatargas, one of the largest global LNG producers in Finance and handled major capital projects and with Qatar Shipping company. He has served the local chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as Chairman twice and received various recognitions for his contributions as various International Conference Committee head/member. He was invited as guest speaker, panelist at various national and international conference on Indian economy, Audit and Internal Controls. He has also presented many Toastmasters workshops on leadership and communication including many motivational talks to school and college students and mentoring many.
He is regularly contributing various articles to numerous professional and social publications. His most recent article published was in the monthly publication ‘Society’ of Gulf Times in its Feb 2020 edition on communication.
He is equally helping the Indian Community and other forums in Qatar for last many years during his leisure time. He has served Indian Cultural Center and Indian Community Benevolent Forum, both affiliated to Indian Embassy, as honorary Head of Finance. Girish Jain is a distinguished toastmaster since 2003 and also held many honorary positions most notably as Division Director in 2018-19. He has won many speech awards notably ‘Best Speaker’ in humorous speech championship at division level in 2007 and represented Division in District contest in Dubai.
He is currently on the board of the local Qatar chapter of Institute of Internal Auditors as Seminar Committee Chair and involved with organizing regular educational seminars and events.
