Al-Dana Al-Sulaiti is a Grade 11 student studying at the American School of Doha.
Following her passion for politics and law, her MUN journey started early in 7th grade and fast forward a few years later, she is on both the QLC 2020 and ASDMUN executive teams.
Al-Dana participated in over 15 conferences and has been a delegate, student officer, and now an executive. Through her experience, passion, and commitment, she has taken MUN beyond the walls of a committee room, to offer a new perspective on diplomacy to members of her community. She has grown and developed over the course of her MUN journey, and hopes to help others grow and develop during her time serving as a conference coordinator. She is an intellectual and meticulous learner, and MUN has enabled her to develop her confidence and ability to express her thoughts. Additionally, she believes MUN and Leadership conferences are the foundation for preparing today’s youth to be future leaders.
Al-Dana believes leadership skills are the foundation to success in any field. Having lived between the United Kingdom, Malaysia, The United Arab Emirates, and The Republic State of Kazakhstan, it has afforded Al-Dana the luxury to travel to places in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. It was through these travels that she had the opportunity to find her passion for politics and eagerness to become a better leader and help others learn from her experiences. Although Al-Dana has learned a lot and developed her skills over the years, she hopes to learn more from this year’s QLC presenters and attendees, while reciprocating knowledge of her own to others.
Although this year’s conference will be online, Al-Dana hopes to make this a memorable event for those attending and make the best out of this unique experience.
