Course Reflection:
I have really enjoyed taking ceramics this semester. I think that it has helped me learn how to be more artistic. I have learned that I enjoy using clay and painting. I have learned many things. I have learned to not put projects off for the last minute, I have also learned that I should plan out what I make before I make it, and to ask for help if it is needed. I think that I have learned how to use clay and how to sculpt, which I did not know before. Some challenges are that since I have never taken an art class before, it was hard to come up with ideas and sometimes I did not know how to start projects. I think that throughout this course, I have gotten better at this.
Medium: Clay
For this project, I made a japanese mask. My favorite part was making the mouth and eyes. A challenge was figuring out what I wanted to make at the beginning. I started off wanting to make a bull with a human face, but I think now it looks more like a demon. I wanted to make this because I liked the horns and the nose ring.
Victoria Koster
For this project, I made a dog. At first I was going to make an elephant but I was confused on how to make it. Then, I decided that I was going to make a dog. I think that I could have made this project better by adding more detail to the dog. My favorite part about this project was painting.

Medium: Straws
For this project, we were supposed to make a sculpture out of straws that were given to us. At the beginning, I was not sure what to make. I started off with a flower, eventually I decided to make a chair. I think that I could have made this chair better by cutting the straws more evenly and adding more details.
