Common acronyms used at The Vineyard School:
EYFS = Early Years Foundation Stage This is used to describe the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old.
ELG = Early Learning Goal These are the expectations for the end of the Reception year.
GLD = Good Level of Development This is used to describe those children that achieve the ELG in certain areas at the end of the Reception year.
PTA = Parent Teacher Association
SEND = Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
YR = Year Reception
