Most databases share common features. You can search them. You can filter those results. Most allow you to generate a citation, email, print or otherwise save articles, and they allow you to listen to the article, too.
ABC-Clio Databases at TA are subject specific. We have databases specific to each required Social Studies class, along with one-- Daily Life Through History-- that has content across all eras.
Gale Virtual Reference is a collection of reference books in eBook format. These are super-specific such as "The Encyclopedia of Clothing and Fashion."
Gale is also where you find collections of periodicals-- that is, collections of academic journal and magazine articles. These will be found in databases such as U.S. History, World History, High School in Context, etc.
There are some fantastic databases to offer-- more than what I feature on the home page at talibrary.org. One of the cool things Gale offers is a topic finder that can be helpful in figuring out search terms.
