"What data will you receive each year?"
Each academic year we will report data to you as parents on two key occasions. In addition, each year has a parents' evening where you can liaise with your child's teachers and we have information evenings specific to each year group which provide a further opportunity to speak to staff.
The timing of each reporting window is different for each year group but staggered throughout the year at appropriate points in the curriculum. Parents in Y8 for example can expect a report in early November with reports for Y9, 11 and 13 in December and Y10 and 12 in February. Updates will be sent to you via the newsletter.
We have chosen twice per year so that sufficient time has elapsed for your child to make genuine progress and improvement through the curriculum and for interventions, where necessary, to be carried out. We could report to you more frequently however this would ultimately limit the quality of the assessment information we can provide you. This way you can have confidence in the reliability of the data you receive at these key points.
When we have these reporting windows we will report to you a Performance Indicator in KS3 or a current Grade in KS4&5, and 3 Learning indicators. These learning indicators will provide you with feedback on your child's Independent Learning, Homework & Organisation and Presentation. To learn more about these watch the videos below:
