Crimes of the Heart is Sabrina’s first production at The Stagecrafters. She previously appeared in Significant Other (Laura) at BC Footlighters and in Harvey (Ethel Chauvenet/Betty Chumley), Almost Maine (Hope/Marvalyn), and No One Was Harmed (Chef Sweeney) at Cabaret Theatre. A graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, she has appeared in various short films where she won best performance accolades at the East Brunswick Film Festival 2021 and the Campus MovieFest National Gold Tripod Award in 2019. She is currently studying the Meisner Technique of acting at Playhouse West in Philadelphia.
Samantha is thrilled to be making her Stagecrafters debut in Crimes of the Heart. She is a graduate of Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Arts in both Theatre and French. Her most recent credits include Spin the Lonely World (Puppet/Susana/Sailor) with Pulley and Buttonhole Theatre Company, Girl in the Machine (Voice of Blackbox) with Players Club of Swarthmore, Sense and Sensibility (Lucy Steele) with Forge Theatre, The Night Witches (Serafima Amasova) with PBTC, and a virtual production of Henry VI: Part I (Duke of Bedford) directed by Calvin Atkinson. At this past summer’s Philly Fringe Festival, she co-wrote and performed in a Jew(ish) parody of Clue with Chutzpah! Theatre Club, and performed in a stage reading of Mannequin (South Philly Girl #1) written by Jennifer Blaine. She is a member of Philadelphia based sketch comedy group LadySuits, a new member of improv troupe The Bible Players, and frequent performer with Luke Allen Productions, LLC. Sam wants to give a shout out to the talented cast and crew of Crimes, and special thank you to Mom, Dad, Lex, and Lonnie for always supporting her creative endeavors.
Ryan returns to The Stagecrafters having previously appeared in Much Ado About Nothing (Borachio) and Readers Theatre in Mambo Italiano (Angelo). At Old Academy Players, he was in Sonya, Vanya, Masha, and Spike (Spike) and the world premiere of Vernal Rites (Charlie). At Playcrafters of Skippack he was in Dr. Cook’s Garden (Jim Cook) and at Allen’s Lane Theater in Keely and Du (Cole). Ryan would like to thank his mom for introducing him to the wonderful world of theater. Also, a big shout out to the cast and crew for putting on a show during these unusual times.
Genevieve Evans previously appeared in theater productions at Montgomery County Community College in Failure: A Love Story (Gertrude Fail) and Men on Boats (John Wesley Powell). This is the first time she has appeared in a play at The Stagecrafters. “Thank you for your dedication, appreciation, and support of the arts and its community.”
Zoe graduated from Muhlenberg College double majoring in theater and music with a concentration in acting and vocal performance. She also studied at the Theatre Academy of London where she performed in selections from Twelfth Night (Viola) and The Merchant of Venice (Portia). For the Muhlenberg Theatre Association, she appeared in Comment is Free (Emma Watkins) and Rock Bottom (Jess), and for The Barnstormers, she appeared in Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon). This is her first show at The Stagecrafters. “Many thanks to my family and loved ones for their support, enthusiasm, and encouragement.”
Michael Adams, a recent graduate of New York University, is appearing in Crimes of the Heart after a long hiatus from the stage. He previously worked, primarily in musicals, in his teens with the CuriosiTeens program at Philadelphia’s Curio Theater. “It’s good to be home again on the stage.”.
