Steve studied acting under Steven Smith at Delaware County Community College. He has appeared in The Beauty Queen of Leenane at Allen’s Lane Art Center; A Streetcar Named Desire (Mitch) at Town and Country Players; The Three Musketeers (Athos) at Colonial Playhouse; The Lion in Winter (Richard) at Chapel Street Players; Killer Joe (Chris) with New Landia Theater, Extremities (Raul) at Spotlight Theater; The Tempest (Sebastian) at the Wilmington Drama League; and Dealer’s Choice (Frankie) at the Players Club of Swarthmore. Boy Gets Girl marks his debut at The Stagecrafters. Steve sends special thanks to his friend and artistic director, Taylor, who has helped him in reviving The Drama Group of Germantown, and sends love to his cat Nikki who cannot make the show, but has heard him run his lines a million times.
Sarah is a BFA graduate in Performance from the University of Houston; Boy Gets Girl is her first show at The Stagecrafters. A few of Sarah’s favorite past performances include The Secretaries (Patty Johnson), Proof (Hal) and the title role in The Insanity of Mary Girard at Allen’s Lane Art Center; Spring Awakening (Adult Woman) at Venice Island Performing Arts Center; Hamlet (Laertes) at Obsidian Theatre; Bug (Agnes White) with Quintero Theatre; and True Tales from the Tombs (Mira Mitta) at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Sarah also had the distinction of having appeared in two world premieres: Trigger Warning (Marlene) at Plays and Players and The VS Series (Actor #1) at the Hamilton Family Arts Center. When not on stage, she can be found behind the microphone as one-half of the podcasting duo Deadtime Storiez. Episodes release weekly on Thursdays and can be found on any of the podcasting platforms. Jim is returning to The Stagecrafters for his fourteenth production. Favorites at this theater include Rogues Gallery (The Choreographer’s Hand), Spinning into Butter (Ross Collins), On Golden Pond (Bill Ray), Shakespeare in Hollywood (Oberon), Trouble in Mind (Al Manners), The Importance of Being Earnest (Jack Worthing), Tartuffe (Valere) and All My Sons (Jim Bayliss). Jim has also appeared in Talk Radio (Barry Champlain), An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein (multiple roles) and The Insanity of Mary Girard (Stephen Girard) at Allen’s Lane Art Center; The Weir (Brendan) with Pulley & Buttonhole Theatre Company; The Complete History of America Abridged (multiple roles) and Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol (Ebenezer Scrooge) with Casabuena Cultural Productions; and Frost/Nixon (John Birt) at The Players Club of Swarthmore. Josh has studied at the Philadelphia Improv Theater with Nick Gillette and Amy Frear and with Amanda Pasquini at the Walnut Street Theater. Past productions include Once More With Pheeling at the Philadelphia Improv Theater and Mmmbeth (Soldier/Murderer/Hecate) with Casabuena Cultural Productions, directed by Mariangela Saavedra. Boy Gets Girl marks Josh’s debut performance at The Stagecrafters. When not acting, Josh enjoys anime and talking about nerdy stuff with two friends on their podcast, The Blerd Bar.
Taylor earned a BFA in Acting from the University of West Virginia. Past acting credits include Romeo and Juliet (Benvolio) with OJ Productions at Plays and Players; Edmonton (Frank Thorney) at Sewer Rats Productions; The Crucible (Mary Warren) with SALT Performing Arts; and the title role in Eurydice at Allen’s Lane Art Center. Tanya, a native of Philadelphia, has performed in local theater productions throughout the area for the past fifteen years. She was most recently seen in The Stagecrafters production of By the Way, Meet Vera Stark (Lottie McBride/Carmen Levy Green) and A Life in Three Dresses, one-woman show based on the autobiography of Elizabeth Keckley, the modiste of Mary Todd Lincoln. In addition to her day job as an Organization Development Consultant, she is a board member of 1812 Productions and a volunteer and advocate for a local non-profit that provides mentoring and leadership development for first generation and/or low-income college students, Collective Success Network. She is a mother, auntie, daughter, sister, truth-teller and champion of softer voices in the room. Take wings!
Mark is a frequent performer at The Stagecrafters. Mark has appeared in Blithe Spirit (Dr. Bradman), Private Lives (Victor Prynne), Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Ira), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Nick) and Moonlight and Magnolias (Ben Hecht). At Allen’s Lane Art Center, Mark performed in An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein (One Tennis Shoe), The Philadelphia Story (Seth Lord) and Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage. He also was seen in 8 The Play (The Judge) at Players Club of Swarthmore.
