I am originally from Lancaster, PA where I graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School. In high school I was a member of the varsity swimming, field hockey, soccer and track and field team. After 13 years of Catholic education I went on to earn my bachelor's degree in psychology from Washington College. During my time as a Shoremen, I was a member of the women's swim team, specializing in freestyle and breaststroke sprints. I then studied at Thomas Jefferson University and earned my Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy.
After graduate school I worked at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia, mainly with people who experienced spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries and severe strokes. I then spent 14 years living in Chestertown, MD. While on the eastern shore I worked as an occupational therapist in the school system, as well as in various healthcare settings including the acute care hospital, subacute rehabilitation and long term care. I also helped to coach an age group swim team during their summer and winter seasons. This year I broadened my horizons and I am coaching Padua's JV field hockey team!
My family moved to Delaware three years ago. I currently have a senior and freshmen at Padua Academy and a son in fifth grade at St. Ann's. In my free time I enjoy hiking, swimming, spending time with my family and taking my labradoodle named Murdock for walks.
I am excited for this new chapter teaching gym class at St. Ann's and hope that your children will have fun and benefit from our time together.
