Color by Numbers

Here are some fun "color by the numbers" work sheets that you can print out and use your crayons/markers/colored pencils - whatever you have at home to fill in the numbers and complete the picture. Have fun!

Paper Towel Magic Drawing

What you will need:

Sharpie Pen

Felt Tip Pens - (any should work)

Paper towel sheets

A Plate

Water

A Jug

You start by folding a sheet of paper towel in half. On the top half of your tissue sheet you use the sharpie pen to draw a large, bold picture. You will need a protection under the tissue as the felts and sharpie will go through the tissue.

Draw your picture and when you're done, open up the kitchen towel. Inside you will see that your image has came through and is visible. This is the part that you color in with your normal felts.

When all your drawing and coloring is done it's time to move on to the next stage. I would advise that you gather several drawings ready to go. This experiment is great fun but it's over quickly and the children will be keen to move on to the next one quickly. With this being the most time consuming part having your pictures ready to go will mean that you can keep the children entertained for longer.

You will need a plate or a tray that is white. It's important that the plate or tray doesn't have any patterns as this could stop the effectiveness of the experiment.

Using a jug/cup pour a shallow amount of water onto a plate/tray. With your kitchen towel folded over in half carefully place it into the water. Just like magic you will see the outline of your picture fill with beautiful colors.
