Due to its history and strategic importance in Asia and the Indo-Pacific, the Philippines has long been a subject to interference and malign influence, and attacks against information integrity. This has led to increased regional alienation, domestic polarization, and a general deterioration of societal resilience and cohesion.
In reaction to the growing threat and effects of disinformation, misinformation, and malign influence (DMMI) in the Philippines and across the Indo-Pacific region, the Center for Information Resilience and Integrity Studies (CIRIS), in collaboration with its network of partners and experts, develops and implements programs, projects, and initiatives that promote societal resilience and preserve information integrity.
