The Purple Garden began in Spring of 2022, right when I bought my house on Lansing's West side. Repurposed barn wood, Habitat for Humanity Restore paint, yard waste, wood chips, compost and there we have it!

The Purple Garden grows more and more each year as I experiment with new varieties and techniques. This playful approach means I always have new tricks, tips, and science-based strategies to share with you! Whether you live in an apartment, have limited mobility, have never kept a plant alive in your life, or are looking to spruce up your current garden, services and resources from The Purple Garden are here to help you!
As a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, I am able to design, build, and/or customize garden beds to suit your accessibility needs. You can experience the joy and satisfaction of growing your own food with a custom gardening solution!
The Purple Garden is a woman-owned small business that supports the LGBTQIA2S+ community, honors the traditional lands of the Peoria, Anishinabewaki, Odawa, Sauk, and Mississauga peoples on which we grow, and seeks to support local social justice initiatives.
