Q: Is anyone still at the school?

A: Due to COVID-19 and Executive Order from the Governor, The Point is closed until further notice. We will do our best to serve our families remotely. However, we will no longer be able to open the school to distribute resources. Our staff must attend to their health and their families. Thank you for understanding.

Q: Will we still have graduation ceremonies?

A: We will still celebrate our scholars and their accomplishments when we are able to return to school.

Q: How will this effect EOG and EOC testing?

A: North Carolina will not have state testing this year due to COVID-19.

Q: Will my scholar have to repeat the same grade?

A: If your scholar received a possible retention letter before March 13th, he or she may be retained if grades and/or attendance are the issue. Contact your school leader directly.

Scholars do not automatically repeat a grade due to COVID-19. All scholars are continuing to grow and learn. Final grades will be based on scholars continued engagement with learning. Contact your school leader directly for more information.
