Grow Eat Live

Grow to Live Youth Summer Day Camp is a culturally themed weekly cooking program for kids ages 5 to 17. Our summer cooking camp teaches campers to eat healthy, develop or hone cooking skills, experiment with seasonings and know they have choices in the food they eat, all in a fun way, while expanding their culinary palate for healthy living that’ll last a lifetime.

We offer fun and nutritious activity which is an excellent way to get kids to learn about healthy food that tastes great, and of course, have them actually take part in the preparation. We have developed an interactive and hands-on approach, so kids enjoy nutrition and begin associating good feelings with good foods. Campers will have increased skills in properly identifying healthy snacks, meal choices and be more nutritionally responsible and self-sufficient.

We begin the learning process in the garden by showing campers how food is grown and identifying fruits and vegetables. We incorporate exercise in each day to show campers that movement is important. Field trips are planned to encourage and teach campers about the food chain and process. Camp ends with a Jr. Chef Competition and a culinary feast for family and friends prepared exclusively by the campers.

Camp is 10 weeks long and begins June 17th and runs through August 23th.
