Danielle Brown, LPCA is a compassionate and client-centered mental health counselor who approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and respect for each individual’s unique story. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, concentrating on human development. Danielle went on to earn her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bay Path University in 2025, with a specialized focus on trauma.
Danielle has extensive training and experience working with families and parents navigating intimate partner violence (IPV), substance use, trauma, and challenges with emotional regulation. Her work is grounded in helping clients repair relationships while also addressing individual struggles that may be impacting their well-being. She is trained in the Circle of Security Parenting Program and the Fathers for Change and Mothers and More curricula, and she is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
In her clinical work, Danielle draws from an integrative approach, utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy. She views each client as an individual and believes therapy is most effective when it is a collaborative process between client and counselor. Danielle strongly values attachment theory and the profound impact that early childhood experiences can have on adult functioning, and she consistently practices from a trauma-informed lens.
Outside of the therapy office, Danielle enjoys working behind the chair as a hairstylist, spending quality time with her two children, and sipping iced coffee year-round. She is an avid fan of true crime, and can often be found reading a psychological thriller or romance novel for her monthly book club meeting.
