State vet certifications: All exporting documentation required to be certified prior to your pet/s leaving the country. We arrange all the bookings and inspections (where applicable) with the state vet to save you time and hassle. We also make sure that you have the most recent and up to date exporting templates applicable to the country you are relocating to.

We also collect and deliver your pet/s with each and every vet visit.
Completion of health certificates: With all the different regulations from all the countries, we ensure to stay up to date with all the required exporting and importing documents and procedures. We also pre-complete the health certifications to ensure that there are no mistakes or delays.
Liaise with agents: Since Covid-19 almost all countries made it mandatory to work through an agent at your destination point. We always include the agent fees into our quotation so that you have a full figure quote to budget on, this is also to avoid you on getting surprises upon arrival at your destination where you might have to suddenly pay unexpected fees. We also make sure that the agent in the country of destination have all the required information prior to your pet/s arrival.
Blood tests: With the Rabies Neutralizing Antibody Titre Test being the main blood test required for exporting pets, several other countries required additional blood tests such as Brucella Canis, Dirofilaria, Leishmania just to name a few. We arrange all the tests to be done as per the country regulations and within the stipulated time frame.
Bird tests and isolation: Who said cats and dogs are the only pets that can travel internationally? We also assist with your feathered friends. The UK, EU and US are quite popular destinations where birds are sent to, and they require a variety of tests to be done such as H5 and H7. Birds also require export CITES as well as import CITES permits from the final destination. Some countries require the birds to be isolated where other countries require them to be quarantined, we can assist with both options.
Check-in at the airport: Pet check-ins or as we refer to it as Manifest Precious cargo are a bit more complex than just normal luggage check-in. Therefore, we make sure that all airline checklist boxes are ticked upon arrival to ensure that the airline is fully aware of the precious cargo that they are handling as well as to avoid any rejections when they need to board the flight. We also make sure that your pet/s have enough water and that the crate is clean and secure.
Crate sealing: New Zealand is still one of the countries that requires crates to be sealed, although an exception can be made only with a reasonable explanation such as Sunday departures. Bird crates are also required to be inspected and sealed prior to departure, which is why we make all the arrangements with the authorized vets and inspectors to make sure all the criteria are met.
CITES permits: While birds are mainly classified as being CITES, other pets such as Tenrecs and tortoises are also CITES. CITES pets requires additional documents and permits for traveling. In some countries they will also require a license to keep CITES pets. We assist with all these regulations and applications to ensure that your pets travel without any hassle.
Veterinary procedures: Countries such as Australia and New Zealand requires more than just a blood test and health certificate, a lot of nitty gritty tests and procedures are required to be completed within a certain amount of time prior to the date of the intended travel. With our in-house specialist we ensure that all the aspects of the regulations are met and approved by the Authorities in the country of your final destination.
Australian quarantine reservations and permits: With the latest regulations that have been implemented on the 1st of March 2023 pets traveling to Australia has to complete a pre-check by the South African Authorities. This step has been made mandatory to ensure that pet/s are not changed prior to departure especially puppies. If this pre-check has not been done, the standard amount of quarantine days will be increased to 30 days instead of 10 days. We therefore ensure that everything is completed as per the regulations and that nothing is over looked or missed. We also apply for the import permit and include this in our quotation.
New Zealand permits and quarantine: New Zealand have 4 privately owned quarantine stations that work directly with the MPI authorities to ensure that all regulations are met. We get in contact with the quarantine station of your choice make all the arrangements for the 10 days as well as apply for the import permit or transit permit.
Liaise with Onderstepoort and IDEXX: With IDEXX and Onderstepoort being the only two approved laboratories we can use for the Rabies Neutralizing Antibody Titre Tests, we ensure to liaise with them directly to ensure a faster turnaround time to get the results. We can then also fix any mistakes that private vets might have made to avoid it affecting the travel date of your pet.
