Rachel is the Founder and CEO of The Nice Nurse, an organization on a mission to make nursing kinder, stronger, and more supportive.
She is a proud member of the Bishop Paiute Tribe, and started her journey into nursing at just 16, encouraged by her family’s belief in her natural empathy and talent in caring for others. That early support sparked a passion for helping others that has shaped her career—and her life.
Over the years, Rachel learned that nursing isn’t just about caring for patients. It also means navigating the tough realities of a healthcare system where toxic work environments and negative interactions can overshadow the heart of the profession. Facing challenges like bullying and unprofessional behavior, she saw a clear need for change.
Instead of letting those experiences bring her down, Rachel turned them into inspiration. She created The Nice Nurse as a supportive community where nurses can connect, share, and find strength through a private chat space with another nurse. Her vision is simple but powerful: to build a world where every nurse feels valued, understood, and supported.
Today, as The Nice Nurse continues to grow, Rachel stays committed to spreading kindness and resilience, proving that together, nurses can create a brighter future for their profession.
