‘How do you feel about the impact THAT social media HAS on you?’
In this vox pop we asked students from The Island Free School their thoughts about the impact of social media on teenagers. Social media is changing all the time, and we are all presented with a new ‘trend’ almost each week. Some of these ‘trends’ can cause a negative impact on the minds of susceptible teenagers, this is what we will be exploring. We interviewed several students to ask their opinions on this matter.

Meghan Markle ON HER Mental Health

Recently, Harry and Megan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey has had a lot of controversy throughout the media. She described in the interview how she had suicidal thoughts and how the press produced false comments and stories - some even made her feel bad about herself. Megan spoke about how she felt that she couldn’t be left alone in a room or she would've done something bad to herself. She explained she felt pressured in the Royal Family.
Broadcaster, Piers Morgan, had strong feelings and opinions against Megan, which led to him storming off live on Good Morning Britain. Alex Beresford, a weather presenter on the show, asked questions on the topic leading Piers Morgan reacting in a bad way when no one agreed with his opinions. Prince Harry also said he was in a dark place when they left the Royal Family.
