Code of Conduct for Players:
Sportsmanship: All players must exhibit good sportsmanship and fair play throughout the tournament. Any unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated, including but not limited to, arguing with officials, unsportsmanlike conduct toward other players, match fixing, and disrespectful behavior toward the tournament staff.
Pace of Play: Players are expected to maintain a reasonable pace of play throughout the tournament at the discretion of the Tournament Director or staff. Any player who unduly delays the game will be given a warning and may face disqualification.
Dress Code: All players must dress appropriately for the tournament. This means wearing presentable clothing and proper footwear. No offensive or inappropriate clothing will be allowed at the discretion of TopShots Ltd., the Tournament Director, or the event partners.
Drinking and Drug Use: No excessive drinking or drug use will be tolerated during the tournament. Any player found to be in violation of this rule may face disqualification from the tournament. Use of illegal drugs or outside alcohol at the host venue is grounds for immediate disqualification at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director.
Equipment: All equipment provided by the tournament must be used. Any player who brings their own equipment will be responsible for its safety and security.
Scoring: It is the responsibility of all players to keep track of their own score during matches and to make sure it is done so in a way that opponents and tournament officials are aware of their score at all times. Players MUST use scoring equipment provided at the table. Players are also encouraged to use the live scoring links on Digital Pool whenver possible.
Promotional Activities: The host venue has the right to use the images and names of the players for promotional and advertising purposes related to the tournament.
Disqualification: The Tournament Director reserves the right to sanction or disqualify any player who violates the code of conduct or terms and conditions of the tournament. Disqualification may result in the forfeiture of prize money.
Liability: The tournament organizers, sponsors, and officials will not be held liable for any injuries, loss or damage to personal property, or other incidents that may occur during the tournament.
Rules: The tournament will be played under the rules as outlined by the World Pool-Billiard Association. However, some local rules may be in effect and will be outlined at the players' meeting. Players must abide by the rules as stated. The Tournament Director will have the final say on all rulings and disputes.
Player Agreement:
These terms set forth the legally binding rules for participation in the event. By registering, players agree to be bound by all terms and conditions set forth by TopShots Ltd. and other event partners. If you are under the age of 18, you agree that you have obtained the consent of your legal guardian to participate under these terms. You acknowledge that you have read and completely understand the conditions and agree to abide by them.
TopShots Ltd. and other event partners reserve the following rights and responsibilities: determine a player’s eligibility, refuse entry to anyone for any reason, change field sizes, adjust ratings, display names and ratings online, change schedules & payouts based on, but not limited to, field sizes, inclement weather, acts of God, war, or terrorism.
You understand that there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other illnesses when you participate in any event where people are gathered. Although it is impossible to predict exactly what COVID-19 restrictions may be in place at the time of the event, you agree to adhere to all safety rules & regulations put into place by TopShots Ltd., other sponsors or partners, provincial or federal governments, or local ordinances. Face coverings, social distancing, temperature, and vaccination status checks are just a few examples of possible safety precautions that could be in effect. You accept this when you register and refusal to follow safety rules and regulations is not justification for a refund.
Your participation in this event is completely voluntary. TopShots Ltd. and all representatives, agents, sponsors, and affiliates are released and to be held harmless of and from any injury, illness, losses, damages, liability, or expenses of any kind incurred by me, my heirs, or personal representatives either caused or alleged to be caused during or surrounding this event. The maximum liability to TopShots Ltd. and all event partners, if any, shall be limited to reimbursement of the entry fee paid. Disqualification from any TopShots Ltd. event, for any reason, shall result in forfeiture of any prize money won by that player or team, and possible suspension from future TopShots Ltd. events.
TopShots Ltd. and other event partners may use your photograph, image, likeness, or name for information, reporting, or promotional purposes via print, video, and other media without limitation or compensation of any kind. By participating, you further release all media and appearance rights to TopShots Ltd. and other event partners for the production of televised matches, recorded or broadcast at the event, and for all photographic images taken at the event.
By registering, you agree that TopShots Ltd. and other event partners may also add your email address to its email list and send you periodic emails at its sole discretion. However, you may unsubscribe from said email offers at any time. By registering for the tournament, all players agree to abide by the code of conduct and terms and conditions outlined above, including the use of their images and names for promotional and advertising purposes related to the tournament by the host venue.
