Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Miles4theMinds
At Miles4theMinds, we believe that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are fundamental to our mission and values. DEI means creating an environment where everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully. It involves recognizing and valuing the diverse perspectives and experiences that each individual brings, ensuring equitable access to resources and opportunities, and fostering an inclusive culture where everyone feels respected and empowered.
We’re proud to be recognized as a VELA Education Fund grant recipient, empowering us to expand innovative, hands-on learning experiences for homeschoolers, microschools, and nontraditional learners. With VELA’s support, Miles4TheMinds continues to create immersive, eco-adventure field trips that bring education to life—making roadschooling more accessible for families across Florida.
Passionate travelers, educators, and innovators, Angel and Trish Sobrino founded Miles4TheMinds to create meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. With a shared love for adventure and education, they’ve built a nonprofit that brings homeschoolers, microschools, and nontraditional learners together through immersive, eco-adventure road trips.
