ABOUT EDINA SENIOR LEGION BASEBALL:
The Edina American Legion Baseball Program is one of the most storied programs in the state. The program holds five state championships (1955, 1969, 1982, 1983, and 2012) and one American Legion World Series Title (1983). The program has spawned the baseball futures of more than 15 former players who have gone on to play professional baseball. In addition, hundreds of former Edina American Legion players have gone to play at the collegiate level.

Led Post 471 to State in 2016, 2018, 2019 (runner up), and 2022. They appeared in Regionals in 2019
Nick Kennedy
2011-2013
Led Post 471 to a State Championship in 2012
John (JP) Peterson
2000-2010
Led team to first State Tournament appearance in 2008 in 15+ years. Also coached at Macalester for 10+ seasons.
Jim Nunn
1992-1998
Jim was named Legion coach at 20 years old. He left Post 471 to run Minnetonka HS until 2006. He's since coached at St. Louis Park and led North Central University to the National Tournament in 2012.
Jim Luther
1991
Head Edina Varsity Baseball Coach for 20 seasons. Jim led Post 471 for one season. He won the High School State Championship in 1983 and was awarded the MSHSBCA Lifetime Acheivement Award in 2016.
Bruce Barron
1982-1990
Led Post 471 to a State Championship in 1982 and 1983. Won Legion World Series in 1983. Bruce was inducted into the Legion Hall of Fame in 2019.
