Globe Academy 8th Grade Podcast

This year, the 8th grade ELA classes at The GLOBE Academy have made podcasts to teach about the power of speech, finding your voice, and publishing. Students worked in groups to write scripts on themes, central ideas and social issues, based on their literary-nonfiction book club book. They recorded their voices, and edited  their own podcasts. This site was created so that you (the listeners) have a better understanding of what we have been doing in class for the past couple of weeks. While doing this project we meet the expectations of some of the ELA standards.

8.T.C.1.c Construct multimodal texts and/or presentations that serve more than one purpose and target a specific audience, using multiple, clearly identifiable features of incorporated modes. 

8.P.CP.2.c Vary tone, pace, and nonverbal gestures as appropriate to purpose and audience. (I/C)
