GLOBE 8th Grade Podcasts

This year, in order to teach students about rhetoric, voice, publishing, and how to provide information in a simple and fun manner, The GLOBE Academy eighth grade ELA classes have created podcasts! Either individually or in groups, students wrote scripts on a debate or social issue, recorded their voices, and edited podcasts of their own. While doing this, they have achieved several Georgia state English Language Arts standards that include: 

ELAGSE8W6 Use technology, including the Internet, to produce and publish writing and present the relationships between information and ideas efficiently as well as to interact and collaborate with others.

ELAGSE8W4 Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience. (Grade-specific expectations for writing types are defined in Standards 1–3 above.).
