Meet the Librarian

Hello!  My name is Lisa Lode.  I am happy to be the new teacher-librarian for Sibley-Ocheyedan Schools.  I work in the libraries every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.   This is my 33rd year in education.  I live in Sanborn with my husband Lee, the mechanic for O'Brien County.  We have two sons, DJ, 27, who coaches high school football. He is a special education teacher at South O'Brien Schools. Dalton is 25 and is a technician at Spirit Lake Ford, Chrysler, and Jeep.

I received my early childhood/elementary education bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa, my reading endorsement from Northwestern College, a master's degree in elementary counseling from Wayne State College, and a master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Iowa.

In my free time, I am usually reading or playing with some new piece of technology!  My family likes to golf and watch football, baseball, and hockey.  We are HUGE Vikings fans (Skol, Vikings!) and usually try to make it to at least one game each season!  I am also a big Caitlin Clark fan so I watch her whenever I can. I hope to make it to an Indiana Fever game some day.
