Calendar Highlights
Monday, March 17-Tuesday, March 18: School Closed, Independent School Break
From FLIK Dining
We know our FLIK chips are a favorite, and we're sorry to say that we will not be able to offer them on Friday, March 21. Our sister school, Charlotte Prep, will be closed for spring break, and that is where Chef Jamie fries our chips.
In better news, we are now offering a granola, oats, and dried fruit mixture. This is a new healthy option as we have phased out items containing red dye 40.
Contacts for Billing Questions
Please send all questions regarding monthly incidental charges and invoices to billing@thefletcherschool.org. Using this email will provide you with a quicker response.
All questions regarding tuition billing and payments should be directed to Tracy Grocott at tgrocott@thefletcherschool.org.

Slides from Our
Fletcher Forum Speaker
Josh Clark
Head of Landmark School
Here are the slides that Josh Clark shared with us at the 26th Annual Fletcher Forum.
His dynamic talk, The Age of AI Will Be the Age of Dyslexia, resonated deeply with our community.
Josh shared his personal journey as a student with dyslexia and how parents and educators can explore AI to make learning more authentic, relevant, and inspiring for dyslexic learners. He also highlighted how dyslexic thinking skills—among the most sought-after in the workforce, according to the World Economic Forum's 2023 Future of Jobs Report—are shaping the future. The future is bright for students who learn differently!
K-12 Summer Programs
Limited Space Available!
Are you still looking for summer activities for your child?
We have limited space available in certain summer programs at The Fletcher School--including academic, cooking, and basketball options.
To view these options and register, please click here!
We invite K-12 parents and guardians to join Tara Terry, Head of School, for engaging discussions about The Anxious Generation—the bestselling book sparking meaningful conversations, especially for families with children who learn differently.
Described as a must-read for all parents, The Anxious Generation is a generation-defining investigation into the collapse of youth mental health in the digital age—and offers a plan for a healthier, freer childhood.
And there's no need to be anxious. Please plan to join us even if you can't make it to both discussions or if you haven't finished reading all the chapters. We look forward to seeing you!

If you would like to volunteer as a grade parent, committee chair or co-chair, please reach out to parentscouncil@thefletcherschool.org to express your interest. Our students have access to the NC Kids Digital Library through Sora. The NC Kids Digital Library has been a state-wide library historically designed for elementary students (K-5).
The state recently introduced a new library, NC Kids Level Up, for middle grades (grades 4-8), and the NC Kids Digital Library has shifted focus to the lower elementary grades (PK-3).
Students in Grades 4-8 can now access the NC Kids Level Up library in Sora following the same steps they’ve used previously to add a public library.
