Community News

Buddy Families & Open House Volunteers Needed 

• The Enrollment Department would love for you to consider being a “Buddy Family” to an incoming new Falcon family. 

• We are also looking for parents to partner with us for our 2025-2026 Open Houses. 

• Information is located in this Google form, Buddy Family/Open House Volunteer Interest.

End-of-Year Medication Pickup

• All student medications at the Nurse's Office must be picked up at the end of the school year.  

• Pickup dates will be Wednesday, May 28-Wednesday, June 4, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

End-of-Year FLIK Reminders

• As the year winds down, some of our snack and beverage selections will be dwindling. 

• We will always have the listed meal menu items, and the last day of the salad bar will be Friday, May 23.

• Last day lunch will be served for Grades K-5 is Tuesday, May 27.

• Last day lunch will be served for Grades 6-8 is Wednesday, May 28.

Apple TV 4K 1st Generation Devices for Sale

• Families interested in purchasing Apple TV 4K 1st Generation devices that are being decommissioned from classrooms may click here for device specifications and here to complete the interest form. 

End of Year Schedule for Before School, After School, & Extended Day

• Review this list to determine when the last after school class for the school year is scheduled:

  • Monday classes: May 19

  • Tuesday classes: May 27

  • Wednesday classes: May 21

  • Thursday classes: May 22

  • Friday classes: May 23

• Before School last session is Wednesday, May 28. 

• After Care and Extended Day last session is Wednesday, May 28.

Tuition Payments for the 2025-2026 School Year

• June is the first tuition payment month for the 2025-2026 school year for families on the monthly payment plan.  

• The first payment date for families on the semiannual and full pay payment plans is July 7.

• Please log into your FACTS Financial account before your first payment date and ensure that the bank or credit card account set up on your payment plan is the one that you would like to use. Please note, if you have updated the financial account for your 2024-2025 FACTS payment plan in the last six months, it does not automatically update that information for the 2025-2026 school year. You will have to go into your FACTS Financial account and update that yourself.

• If you are on a semiannual or full pay payment plan and are planning to pay by check, please email Tracy Grocott at tgrocott@thefletcherschool.org as soon as possible to let her know.

Donate Gently Used Fletcher Clothing - Last Day to Donate is May 23

• Donate any gently used Fletcher clothing that no longer fits your child. 

• Please send clothing that is stain-free and without any tears or excessive wear.

• A collection bin is just inside the front doors in the Belk Lobby. Collected items will be for sale at Student Orientations and Drop-Ins held just before the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

Important Information About Student Devices

• Students in K-4 will leave their iPads at school this summer. Click here for more information.

Online Safety Resources from Agent Traceski

• Students in grades 5-12 had a vist with Agent Traceski from the Secret Service about online safety. He shared valuable information with them about contacting a trusted adult when they have concerns about things happening online.

Closing Ceremonies - Wednesday, May 28

• Grades K-3 - Schedule

  • Students arrive at 8:15 a.m. in the carpool line. Please join us in the gym from 8:20-9 a.m. Students leave with their families immediately following.

• Grades 4-5 -Schedule

  • 10:15 a.m.

    • Students arrive in the carpool line and report to their classrooms.

    • Fourth grade parents park and report to the Gymnasium.

    • Fifth grade parents park and report to the Belk Lobby for the Crossover Ceremony.

  • 10:45 a.m. 

    • Fourth grade students report to the Gymnasium.

    • Fifth grade students Crossover to Middle School.

    • The Crossover will be livestreamed to the Gymnasium and for family members who cannot attend.  

  • 11 a.m. 

    • Closing Ceremony for both grades

  • 12 p.m.

    • Dismissal for Summer Break

Middle School Closing Ceremony - Thursday, May 29

• 8 a.m.

  • Students arrive and report to their classrooms.

  • Parents may park and make their way to the Gymnasium.

• 8:30 a.m. 

  • Award Ceremony for Middle School begins.

  • Ceremony concludes with the promotion of eighth grade.

• 9:45 a.m. 

  • After the ceremony, dismissal for Summer Break.

NC Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ Award Updates

• All initial NC Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ awards for 2025-2026 have been either renewed (for previous scholarship families) or awarded (for new scholarship families) at this time. We have adjusted tuition payment schedules in FACTS Financial to reflect awards that have been offered and accepted. Please review your tuition payment schedule in FACTS Financial prior to June 1 and notify Tracy Grocott at tgrocott@thefletcherschool.org with any questions. PLEASE NOTE: Your total tuition balance due has not changed as a result of these scholarships. We have created deferred payments (October 31, 2025, for the Fall semester and March 31, 2026, for the Spring semester) for the award amounts to be received directly from the state. 

• Families should contact OpportunityScholarships@ncseaa.edu or ESA@ncseaa.edu directly if they have questions about these scholarships.

• The new and improved NCSEAA website for the NC Scholarships has lots of great information on qualification, how to apply, and maintain eligibility for the scholarships. Please visit https://k12.ncseaa.edu for step by step instructions, recorded webinars, and more helpful information.

•  If you require a payment summary for tax purposes for 2024, please use the following instructions for FACTS.

  • Click here for step-by-step instructions with screenshots. 

  • Log in to your FACTS Family Portal.

  • Click on Financial on the left (may have to scroll down).

  • Under Financial Links on the right, click on Financial Home.

  • Click on View Details.

  • Select View Payment Summary (blue box).

  • Click on the drop-down box and select 2024.

  • You can print to paper or PDF by clicking on Print in the upper right-hand corner.
