September Holiday

• Monday, September  25 - Yom Kippur Holiday, School Closed
  
  

Notify in Advance of Early Dismissal & Appointments

• Please help us minimize classroom interruptions by communicating dismissal changes at least two hours prior to the dismissal.

• If your child needs to be dismissed early or needs to leave for an appointment and then return to school, please email details to both frontdesk@thefletcherschool.org and your child’s homeroom teacher.

• Students in grades K-12 who need to be dismissed early for any reason must be picked up no later than 2:30 pm. 

• After 2:30 pm, students should plan to be sent to carpool.

Fletcher Spirit Wear

• The School's SquadLocker store has been updated with new choices in spirit wear and gear to make sure you are always ready to celebrate Fletcher. A portion of each sale goes to Parents’ Council to support the Fall Family Festival and other community activities planned for the year. Click here to get your spirit wear.

Submit Your Yearbook Pride Ad

• For your child, a"Pride Ad" is an excellent way to show your love and affection. Seeing your message will bring a smile to your child's face as they remember your warmth and support!

Update Credit Card and Banking Account Information in FACTS

• If you have had to recently replace your credit card or make a change to your bank account due to fraud, please ensure that you update your credit card or banking account information in your FACTS Financial Account.  

  • Log in through the FACTS Family Portal, and click on Financial on the left. On the right, you will see a Financial Links section. Click on Financial Home. This will take you to the FACTS Financial homepage.   

  • On the right under your name, you will see a bank symbol with your current account information. Click on that, and make the necessary updates.  

  • If you have any problems, FACTS Customer Service at 1-866-441-4637 can assist you. Please note, school personnel cannot make changes to your financial accounts in FACTS.   

COVID Protocol Reminders

• COVID cases are on the rise across the nation. Click here to access The Fletcher School’s COVID-19 Decision Tree for help in navigating attendance expectations for students who test positive or exhibit COVID-like symptoms. 

Help Us Keep Carpool Safe and Organized

• Middle and Upper School cars lining up for 3:15 pm pickup should line up in the left-hand lane starting at the back parking lot on the Lower School side of the school. 

• Two-way traffic behind the gym is suspended during afternoon carpool to provide the right lane for Lower School cars that need to pass families arriving early for 3:15 pm carpool.

You're Invited!
The Fletcher School's Fall Family Festival - Save the Date 

• Save the date for Sunday, October 15, from 3-6 pm, on campus. Make plans to join Fletcher students, families, faculty, and friends for bounce houses, games, cake walk, treats, food trucks, and more!

• Parents' Council hosts the festival and would love to have sponsors to help offset the cost. Please click here for information to show your support as a family or corporate sponsor.  

The Fletcher Advantage - Save the Date

• Save the date for Wednesday, October 18, from 6-8 pm, on campus. The Fletcher Advantage is a reimagined, dynamic event open to all parents and guardians of students in grades K-11 to learn more about the signature experiences their students can look forward to on their journeys through the divisions at Fletcher. 

• We are planning information sessions for you to explore our academic curriculum, clubs, activities, athletics, and college counseling by hearing directly from teachers, leaders, parents, and students about their Fletcher experiences. 

Open House Registration - Tell a Friend!

• The October 2023-2024 Admissions Open House dates are open for registration.

• Your referrals are often the inquiries that become students at Fletcher. Please share our list of Open Houses with anyone who asks about our program, and encourage them to register. 

The Rankin Institute News

• Registration is open for upcoming workshops from The Rankin Institute. Fletcher families may attend for free! Use the promo code FLETCHER2023 when registering. Visit the Community Programs page for workshop descriptions.

Lower School

• Thursday, September 28 - Lower School New Parent Coffee, at 8:10 am, on campus - Join other new Lower School parents for coffee, chat about the start of the school year, hear from school leaders about upcoming events, and ask any questions you might have about our school and community. Please RSVP here.

• Wednesday, October 4 - Save the date for a Lower School Parent Gathering at Juniper Grill Ballantyne, at 7 pm, hosted by Parents' Council. Whether you're a returning or new Fletcher parent, this is a great opportunity to meet other Lower School parents and socialize. Middle School

• Grades 7 & 8: Please register for the Charleston trip by Friday, September 29, by clicking here.

• Friday, September 22 - It's not too late to register for tomorrow's Coffee Chat with Chris Love, Board Certified Counselor and former Fletcher student, on the topic of ADHD and the Connection to Mental Health. The coffee will be in the Rankin Room at 8:15 am. Please RSVP to Heather Sheppard, Middle & Upper School Counselor, at hsheppard@thefletcherschool.org.

Upper School

• The Senior Exit class has a field trip to UNCC on Thursday, September 28. See this letter for more details.

• Friday, September 22, is the deadline to sign up for the Iceland trip at www.eftours.com/2676068VC and to apply for the Suzi Stephens Scholarship for Student Travel Abroad by completing this form.
