The Fletcher School's Fall Family Festival - Save the Date
Save the date for Sunday, October 15, from 3-6pm, on campus. Make plans to join Fletcher students, families, faculty, and friends for bounce houses, games, cake walk, treats, food trucks, and more!

'Til Death Do You Tweet - September 13 & 14
Nationally recognized media personality Stephanie Humphrey will speak with Fletcher's Middle and Upper School students on September 13 to help them become better digital citizens through thoughtful social media use.
While in Charlotte, Stephanie will also present to parents on Thursday, September 14, at 8 am, at Trinity Episcopal School (TES) to help parents feel more empowered in guiding their children through social media use. Our friends at TES have invited us to join. Learn more here.
Immunization Records Due September 15
Updated forms are required for:
All new students
All seventh-grade students need a Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV) and a Tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis vaccine (Tdap).
All twelfth-grade students need the second Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV).
Physical Examination and Health History Forms Due
All sixth graders and students playing after-school sports are required to turn in a current Physical Examination and Health History Form.
2023-2024 Parent Volunteer & Driver Sign-Up Form
Parent field trip drivers make it possible for students to experience off-campus learning, and athletic event drivers support our sports program.
If you are interested in becoming a parent volunteer/approved driver for 2023-2024, please follow these steps:
Login to your FACTS Family Portal and select Web Forms from the School Menu in the left-hand column.
Choose 2023-2024 Parent Volunteer and Driver Sign-up
Complete the Web Form and remember to Save (which will submit the form)
Volunteers are required to undergo a criminal background check and driving record review. Once your completed form is received, you will receive an email from Praesidium, requesting information and approval to perform the background check and driver review.
Once you have been approved, you will receive a confirmation email from The Fletcher School and your name will be placed on the school's Parent Volunteer/Approved Driver listing that is accessible to your child's teacher.

Choose Yearbook Photo by September 18
All families need to designate which picture of their student they want in the yearbook by Monday, September 18, even if they are not placing an order. Orders completed by the early bird deadline of Friday, September 8 will receive 15% off, with a minimum order of $25. Follow these steps:

Click on "find My School."
Enter "flsc" as the password.
Enter your student's first and last name in the search.
Click on the picture desired, choose Yearbook Choice, and follow the prompts.
Adjustment to 4:15 pm Carpool
4:15 pm carpool will now run from 4:15 to 4:25 pm.
Students remaining on campus at 4:25 pm will be taken to Extended Day Care and will need to be checked out through the front desk. Students remaining in Extended Day Care past 4:30 pm will be charged through their FACTS account.
Athletics Pickup
Student-athletes remaining on campus 10 minutes after athletics practice is scheduled to end, or 15 minutes after a home competition ends, will be taken to Extended Day Care.
Student-athletes are welcome to remain in Extended Day Care until 5:30 pm and will need to be checked out through the front desk. Students taking part in Extended Day Care will be charged through their FACTS account.

Lunch Menu & Pre-Ordering
Pre-ordering is encouraged. Pre-orders are due by 5 pm on Thursdays for the following week. Follow these instructions.
Saturday, September 9 - New families in grades K-12 are encouraged to join us for the New Family Workshop, from 9-11 am. If you haven't already, email your RSVP to Laura Boggess, Program Coordinator, at lboggess@thefletcherschool.org. This workshop for parents and guardians features essential information about learning differences and not-to-be-missed simulations, which put you in your child's shoes in the classroom.
