In Case You Missed It: Back-to-School Communications

• Changes to Morning Drop-Off & Afternoon Pick-Up

  • The new right-turn exit-only lane surpassed expectations this morning and prevented cars from backing up while waiting for the main exit. 

  • Please help us keep traffic moving by continuing to the main exit if the right-turn exit-only lane is backed up. 

  • Drivers may turn right or left at the main exit and will continue to be assisted by Officer Martin.

• Important August Reminders 

  • This includes FACTS Login Changes; Student Check-Out System Changes; Lunch Pre-Orders; Picture Day; Curriculum Nights; Collared Shirt & PE Uniforms; and Rock Painting Reservations.

August 23 - Picture Day

• St. John's Photography will take yearbook pictures on Wednesday, August 23.

• Make-up picture day is Thursday, August 31.

Changes to Signing Students In and Out When Not Using Carpool System

• If you haven't already done so, please review the link above. 

• The new system requires all authorized drivers to electronically link their driver's licenses to their students through an in-person process and update their list of authorized drivers in the FACTS Family Portal.

• This will avoid delays at pick-up. 

Lower School

• August 18, 21, & 22 - Kindergarten dismissal at 12 pm

• August 24 - Join us for Lower School Curriculum Night from 6-7:30 pm

• Please label all items, such as water bottles, lunch boxes, and sweatshirts.  

• Fifth grade families who were not able to attend a virtual Digital Dive on Monday, please read the Educational Technology section below for instructions.

Middle School

• September 6 - Save the date for Middle School Curriculum Night at 6:30 pm

Educational Technology

Digital Dive: Welcome for New Families & Fifth Graders!

• New families and fifth grade families who were not able to attend New Family Orientation or a fifth grade virtual session on Google Meet:

  • You will need to complete the self-paced Digital Dive for Families. Completion is required for your child to take home their school-issued MacBook. Please review the presentation and sign the acknowledgment form as soon as possible (only  if you could not attend Orientation or a virtual session.)

How to Support Your Child’s Digital Life

• • This podcast discusses the challenges of raising a child in the age of digital media.

Parents' Council Updates

Welcome, Ways to Support, & Get Involved:

• Parents’ Council extends a warm welcome to all new and returning families. We have great events planned for the school year!

• Every parent becomes a member of Parents' Council upon enrollment at The Fletcher School. Additionally, we encourage each family to join Parents’ Council for an annual $60 membership fee which helps offset the costs of our events. Parents and guardians, please complete the 2023-2024 Membership form.

• We encourage parents to volunteer for one or more of our events. It is a great way to connect with other parents and see the impact Parents’ Council makes! Please complete the 2023-2024 Volunteer Opportunities form.

• Harris Teeter customers can support Parents’ Council by linking their VIC cards. Harris Teeter requires customers to relink their VIC cards each year. Link your VIC Card. Fletcher's number is 1680.

• Publix customers can support Parents’ Council by linking their Club Publix Account through Publix Partners. Link your Club Publix Account, or if you need to first set up an account with Publix, click here. It is important that you enter your account telephone number each time when checking out.
