Education is critical to our children's success. As I've nurtured my two children through the Redondo Beach school system I know how critical it is to have parents and the broader community engaged and invested in their education. Educating children requires a holistic approach particularly during these incredibly difficult times.
I serve in a wide variety of school and community organizations because I care deeply about our community. Having the right people on the Board of Education is critical during these tumultuous times because education is suffering. I'm invested in our schools and community and have the experience and connection to marshal the resources needed to provide our children with the best education possible. I'm doing this for my children and yours because we're all in this together.
I’m running to ensure our children receive the best education possible because I’m the proud parent of 3rd and 6th graders in RBUSD. I grew up in the South Bay and have lived in Redondo Beach for over 14 years. I’m passionate about community engagement and the difference it can make in education.
I want to build upon our tradition of excellence and prepare our children for the challenges ahead by utilizing the support of our community. These are difficult times but together we are stronger.
I have many years of experience working with key RBUSD staff, and am prepared to hit the ground running during this critical time for education.
I serve on the School Site Council for Adams and Lincoln (Chair), the RBUSD Measure Q Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (Chair), and Lincoln PTA (Legislative Chair).
I have a B.S. in Computer Science from UCSB and specialize in computer security. My extensive volunteer experience in our schools and career in IT provides me with a strong background to help prepare our children for the future.
I also serve on the Redondo Beach Planning Commission (Chair), AYSO R17 (Board of Directors), and Neighborhood Watch.
