Join us on Saturday, April 11, 2026, for the inaugural "CCC’s General" Community 5K Run/Walk in Chester, PA. This inaugural effort of the CCC Community Development Corporation celebrates the legacy of William R. Cobb, affectionately known as "The General".

A master maintenance electrician for 46 years, The General was a man of unshakeable discipline who famously walked across the city during a snowstorm to reach his post. He was also a dedicated athlete and a fixture in the CCC Walk/Run Club, competing in the Baltimore Running Festival and the Hartford Marathon. We race to honor his spirit of consistency, service, and excellence.

Your sponsorship fuels the CCC Community Development Corporation, the action arm of our ministries dedicated to turning faith into tangible community progress. Proceeds from the event support three vital pillars:

• The General’s Scholarship: This fund provides tuition support for local graduates. Honoring The General’s career, we emphasize support for students pursuing the Skilled Trades (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC) and Human Services.

• Mentorship & Leadership: We provide faith-based guidance to local youth and young adults, instilling the work ethic and integrity modeled by Deacon Cobb.

• Community Service: From neighborhood revitalization to long-term service projects, we work "on the ground" to improve the quality of life in Chester.
