April 2011: Helmand Province, Afghanistan
In April 2011 Charlie Battery of 1st Battalion 12th Marines deployed to Helmand Province. They were accompanied by Echo Battery of 2nd Battalion 12th Marines, deployed to the Kajaki Dam, Afghanistan to replace 1st Battalion, 10th Marines as the main artillery unit in the area.
During this 7 month long deployment, these Marines didn't know it yet but a inseparable bond was about to be created.

Marines from Charlie Battery 1st Battalion 12th Marines past and present unite to renew their commitment to each other, celebrate their histories, and honor the fallen.
They held their reunion at River Run Resorts in Grandby, Colorado. Just coming out of a long quarantine due to the pandemic, they all felt a little ready to spread their wings and get some fresh air in the Rocky Mountains.
July 2023
Charlie 1st Battalion 12th Marines reunion happened in Nashville where Marines enjoyed a River Dinner cruise on General Jackson with a performance from the Spirit of Nashville.
November 27th, 2023
Charlie was faced with a new challenge following the reunion... Saying goodbye to Skylar "Dom" Domine after succumbing to his own demons.
Charlie realized they had a new fight ahead of them. Post-military life stress.
No one ever realized that our brother was hurting in plain sight and needed our help. Marines from Charlie wished they had seen the signs sooner but we all assumed he was living his best life.
As one life ends, a new one begins with The Dom Foundation helping vets like Dom meet those challenges without having to face them alone.

"Skylar "Dom" Domine joined Charlie right after we had returned from Iraq in 2009. He was described as being one of the happiest Marines in the battery. It seemed it was nearly impossible to get him down. He had incredible drive and determination that was matched by very few. This was demonstrated by him receiving several Meritorious promotions and awards during his time in Charlie. The Marines of Charlie battery never expected Dom to be struggling".

We are in the business of reaching out to veterans of all generations and providing connections with other fellow service members in the form of fellowship events. The Dom Foundation is a 100% Not For Profit organization run by veterans for veterans.

Our goal is to help veterans before and after crisis occurs. We feel re-establishing old connections within veteran relationships will help strengthen mental health within the veteran community.

The end of a relationship. Loss of a job. Housing instability. Feeling a loss of purpose. At some point, everyone will face a challenge. Some of those challenges may develop into a crisis. Recognizing a crisis in yourself or those you care about can help you know when to find support.
Every Veteran is different, and many may not show any signs of intent to harm themselves. But some actions and behaviors can be a sign that they need help. Learn to recognize the signs of crisis so you can support a Veteran going through a difficult time.

We are a non-profit organization. All of the proceeds go to event coordination as well as the costs for our technology overhead. We try to keep our technology costs as low as possible in order to maximize the outcome for each event.
