Terms of Service
Please read and acknowledge the following:
1. Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least one day prior to scheduled service time. Cancellations made on the day of service may incur a cancellation fee based on the total estimated invoice amount may be charged.
For services estimated to take 2 hours or less to complete a $50.00 cancellation fee will be applied.
For services estimated to take 3 or more hours to complete a $100.00 cancellation fee will be applied.
These fees help cover lost time and preparation costs. Cancellation fees may be waived if services are promptly rescheduled. Multiple cancellations may result in termination of services.
2. Property Access & Utilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring access to the property and providing all necessary utilities, including running water and electricity, at the time of the scheduled service.
If I am unable to perform the service due to lack of entry or unavailable utilities, a lockout fee based on the total estimated invoice amount may be charged.
For services estimated to take 2 hours or less to complete an $80.00 lockout fee will be applied.
For services estimated to take 3 or more hours to complete a $120.00 lockout fee will be applied.
To avoid fees, please ensure keys, codes, gate access, or other entry instructions are provided in advance and utilities are active on the day of service.
3. Payment Terms
Invoices will be issued on the day service is completed and sent to the email address provided by the client. Payment is due within seven calendar days of the service date unless prior arrangements have been made.
Accepted forms of payment include:
Cash
Check (payable to The Conscious Cleaner)
Online payment (details provided on the invoice)
If payment is not received by the due date, a late fee of 20% of the total invoice amount will be applied. Continued non-payment may result in service suspension and referral to collections.
4. Modifications to Fees
The Conscious Cleaner reserves the right to modify these fees and charges at any time. Clients will be notified at least 1 week in advance of any changes to the fee structure.
5. Scope of Work
Services will be performed as outlined by the provided general housecleaning checklist and prior consultation with the client. Additional tasks must be requested and agreed upon by both parties prior to service.
6. Health and Safety
For my safety, I reserve the right to decline service in environments deemed hazardous or unsafe. Unsafe conditions may include, but are not limited to:
Presence of biohazards (e.g., human or animal waste, blood, mold, or other bodily fluids)
Infestations (e.g., bed bugs, roaches, fleas, rodents)
Excessive hoarding, clutter, or debris that blocks exits or creates a tripping/falling hazard
Structural issues (e.g., unstable floors, collapsing ceilings, exposed wiring, or water damage)
Aggressive pets not secured during service
Evidence of drug use, paraphernalia, or unsafe materials/substances
Any behavior by occupants that threatens the safety or well-being of the cleaner
If such conditions are discovered upon arrival, the service will be canceled. Service may be rescheduled once the hazards have been properly addressed and removed.
The Conscious Cleaner is not responsible for pre-existing damages. Clients should notify me of any fragile or valuable items.
I reserve the right to take photos (with discretion) to document the conditions for internal records and dispute resolution if needed.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with my services, please notify me within two days of service so I can address your concerns.
8. Agreement
