First you must have filled in a form on your project's website, asking to join the relevant chat.
There are lots of ways to find Chat for your project, once you have joined. Try these:
Look for Chat in the menu of your project's website.
On your phone's Gmail, tap Spaces and look for your project's space.
On an Android phone use the Chat app, then tap Spaces and look for your project's space.
On your computer, click Spaces icon and look for your project's space. If Spaces icon is not showing:
Open Gmail.
In the top right, click Settings.
Customize
Tick Google Chat
Done
Chat is for one-to-one conversations, while Spaces are for groups of people like us to have conversations. You will notice that Chat is just one of the features in Spaces; we don't plan to use the other features at the moment.
Either reply to someone else's post,
or start a new topic.
If the chat box says History is on, it just means that your post will not disappear after a day. Type your message over the History is on message.
On your phone, scroll to the top of the Chat for your Space.
On your computer Gmail, click the ellipsis (three dots) for your project.
There are so many chat apps we could choose from, but Google Chat is much easier for us to manage. When you join The Common Lot online, it's just one click for us to give you access to everything you need, including Chat.
