If your child has a known medical condition (asthma, diabetes, seizure disorder, etc.), please make sure the correct procedure for handling this medical condition is on file with the program.
Make sure any necessary medications are available and that the appropriate forms have been completed. If a child has one of the following conditions, the parent will be notified to pick up the child immediately: known contagious disease, fever over 100 F, vomiting, diarrhea, accident requiring medical attention. In case of an accident or illness, the child’s parents will be called immediately. In serious cases, the child will be taken to Mountain Valley Medical Center for treatment and the parents will be called as soon as possible.
Outdoor play will not be allowed when the temperature (including wind chill) falls below 0 degrees. Outdoor play will not be permitted if Flood Brook School does not have outdoor recess in the afternoon during the school day.
The program's license requires EDP staff to report suspected cases of child abuse. This includes reporting parents, caring adults, and other agents authorized to pick up children who appear to be impaired by drugs or alcohol.
