On May 7th, 2024 the biology class took a field trip to Stewart State Forest to study the flora and fauna of our northeast deciduous forests. We hiked approximately 4.5 miles while listening to the birds, identifying plants, insects and early spring mushrooms and playing Biology Bingo based on terms we have used throughout our class. We took a break at the Great Swamp where we talked about keystone species and food webs and did some nature based art led by Jim Van Gelder.
