Welcome back to everyone after the half term break – we hope you all had a restful and enjoyable week and are feeling refreshed for the exciting weeks ahead. It has certainly been a busy and fun start to the term! Year 4 kicked things off brilliantly with their energetic Dojo Treat morning on the school field, enjoying some well-deserved rewards together. We are also incredibly proud of our choir, who performed at the Young Voices concert at the O2 this week – a truly unforgettable experience for all involved. To top it off, our girls’ football team are preparing to play in the next round of their cup competition, and we wish them the very best of luck. It’s been a fantastic return, and we look forward to all that this half term has in store!
The school choir had an unforgettable experience performing at the O2 Arena for the Young Voices concert. It was an evening filled with incredible energy, lots of dancing, and truly amazing singing. Not only did our pupils give fantastic performances, but there was also plenty of enthusiastic singing and dancing from the teachers, which made the event even more special and fun. Our students joined thousands of other young performers, creating a powerful and exciting atmosphere that made everyone proud to be part of it. The hard work and dedication put into rehearsals really paid off, and they represented our school brilliantly. It was a night to remember for everyone involved!
Children and their adults had the task of finding hidden animals and insects around our school field. Then they had to write down the name of each animal or insect they had found. All children and adults enjoyed this activity morning, thankfully the rain stayed away!
Our girls’ football team proudly played in the next round of the cup this week! The team were absolutely brilliant, showing determination, skill and fantastic teamwork throughout the match. They worked incredibly hard for one another and represented the school with great spirit. Although the result didn’t go our way this time, we couldn’t be prouder of their effort and commitment. Well done, girls! ⚽👏
Last week Year 3 explored plants up close, carefully observing every detail. 🌿 They focused on capturing tone, shade, and texture in their drawings, bringing each leaf and stem to life through fine detail. It was amazing to see how much you notice when you really slow down and look closely!
This week and last week, we celebrated our PROUD assembly, highlighting the children’s fantastic demonstration of our PROUD values: Perseverance, Respect, Optimism, Unity, and Discovery. Throughout the week, every child has shown great effort, kindness, and curiosity in their learning and interactions, truly embodying the spirit of these values. We are incredibly proud of how our pupils live out PROUD in everything they do!

We are happy to welcome children who wish to ride their scooters and bikes to school. However, for everyone’s safety, children and adults must dismount their scooters or bikes before entering the gates. Please do not ride any scooter or bike around the KS2 playground or in our busy infant and junior milling areas before and after school. These areas can become crowded, and riding could lead to accidents or injuries. We appreciate your support in helping us keep our playgrounds safe for all our children and adults.
It is really important for all children to drink water throughout the day, which is why children need to bring a water bottle into school. However, can we please ask that children only bring in either a disposable plastic or re-usable plastic water bottle.
Some children are bringing in large metal water bottles which when knocked over can cause disruption in the class.
Please can we also ask that Airup water bottles are not brought into school, these are expensive and can sometimes be knocked over in a busy classroom and damaged or broken.
