✈️🌍 Year 2 had a fantastic time during their Hook lesson last week.
The hall was transformed into an airport, where the children checked in, went through Passport Control and Security, and boarded their 'flight'. They enjoyed inflight entertainment and shared stories about the places they had visited.
A fun and exciting start to their new topic! 🧳✈️
Danube 5 had a fantastic time in DT making delicious Bolognese sauce from scratch! The classroom was filled with the wonderful aroma of fresh ingredients as everyone worked hard to prepare their sauce.
The finished results looked amazing, smelled incredible, and, best of all, tasted terrific! 😋 The pupils showed excellent teamwork, followed instructions carefully, and were proud to sample what they had created.
Well done, Danube 5 – a brilliant cooking session and a recipe for success!
Colorado 2 Class had a fantastic session with our cricket coach, making the most of the wonderful sunshine!
The children showed brilliant enthusiasm and teamwork as they practised their batting, bowling, and fielding skills. It was wonderful to see everyone growing in confidence, demonstrating great technique, and encouraging one another throughout the session.
Well done, Colorado 2—you played some amazing cricket today! We can't wait for the next session.
What an incredible achievement!
A huge congratulations to our fantastic Year 4 cricket team, who took part in the Platform Cricket Competition, competing against 52 other schools and finishing in an outstanding 2nd place!
Our talented group of girls and boys showed fantastic teamwork, determination, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the competition. They represented our school brilliantly and should be incredibly proud of everything they achieved.
Well done to every player—you've done yourselves and Bedonwell proud!
Granite Reception Class celebrated a very special moment as they released their butterflies into our wildlife area!
Over the past few weeks, the children have been carefully observing the incredible life cycle of a butterfly—from tiny caterpillars, to chrysalises, and finally to beautiful butterflies. They watched with excitement as each butterfly hatched, learning about growth, change, and the wonders of nature along the way.
Today, it was time to release them into their new home, where they can continue their journey. It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience and a magical moment for everyone involved!
Year 6 had an amazing time on their PGL school journey, creating wonderful memories with their friends. Throughout the trip, they took part in a wide range of exciting activities, challenging themselves to try new things and develop their teamwork, confidence and resilience. From adventurous outdoor challenges to fun group games, every day was filled with laughter, enthusiasm and achievement. The children represented Bedonwell brilliantly with their positive attitudes and excellent behaviour, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

We are happy to welcome children who wish to ride their scooters and bikes to school. However, for everyone’s safety, children and adults must dismount their scooters or bikes before entering the gates. Please do not ride any scooter or bike around the KS2 playground or in our busy infant and junior milling areas before and after school. These areas can become crowded, and riding could lead to accidents or injuries. We appreciate your support in helping us keep our playgrounds safe for all our children and adults.
It is really important for all children to drink water throughout the day, which is why children need to bring a water bottle into school. However, can we please ask that children only bring in either a disposable plastic or re-usable plastic water bottle.
Some children are bringing in large metal water bottles which when knocked over can cause disruption in the class.
Please can we also ask that Airup water bottles are not brought into school, these are expensive and can sometimes be knocked over in a busy classroom and damaged or broken.
