The Backyard Rules
Except with express staff permission, only bartenders are permitted behind the front desk area & only our staff are allowed in the office. You will have access to the upright fridge & freezer. You may not remove any items or use any other equipment without explicit permission and all items must be returned to the appropriate place at the conclusion of the event.
When decorating please use only Command brand products. No tape, nails, tacks, glue or anything that will cause permanent damage. No glitter or confetti, any organic material such as flower petals or leaves must be cleaned up after use.
For fire safety considerations, we don't allow fireworks, sparklers or open flames. Candles must be securely placed in a sturdy, heat resistant candle holder tall enough to cover the flame & large enough to contain any melted wax. Water based smoke machines are ok, oil based are not allowed as they will set off the alarm and cause a residue to coat surfaces in the building. Use of oil based smoke machines will result in financial penalties.
Use of the outdoor area is subject to extreme weather. Outside noise must be kept to a minimum after 10:00pm. Exterior doors must not be propped open as this allows bugs and prevents proper operation of the buildings heating and cooling system.
The Rental Period ends at the time set out on the Rental Agreement, unless otherwise amended by The Backyard. You must vacate the facility, and remove all personal property by that time. Any person property left after the Rental Period ends will be donated after 1 week following the rental. The Backyard will charge the renter reasonable fees associated with the storage and/or disposal of any property left behind.
Full day rentals typically include venue access from 8:00am-2:00am the following morning.

Hiring a Caterer
The catering is one of the most important aspects of your wedding. Providing good-quality food, and enough of it, is crucial for ensuring that everyone has enough energy to keep going all day until the taxis arrive. It will enable you to keep morale high throughout your wedding and prevent people from getting too intoxicated, or worse: bored. Whether it’s a sit-down meal, full service buffet, street food truck, or even a fancy afternoon tea, you don't want to be cooking all that food yourself.
