About Student Conduct 101 & 201

We recognize that our Gehring Academy happens once a year, and some of our members begin their journeys in student conduct roles after the end of the academy or would like content specific knowledge during the academic year. We have created a virtual intensive training, with modules on varied topics, that is designed to provide a foundational understanding of student conduct.

The most exciting new feature of SC 101 & 201 is our "a la carte" delivery method of content. Rather than one module that includes all of the topics, we determined that practitioners should be able to select the content most relevant to them and their needs. You can take anywhere from one to all five modules depending on your professional role or interests. This way, too, our Primary Practitioners (faculty) can focus on delivering specific knowledge from their area of expertise, instead of only briefly skimming the surface of these crucial knowledge and skill areas.

Additionally, we will be offering continuing education credits for Student Affairs Educator Certification.  Click here for more information about SC 101 and CEs or email Amanda Mesirow at aed@theasca.org for more information. FYI, you do not have to have Certification in order to attend SC 101 or 201! Earning CEs is an option for those certified, however.

These modules are perfect for those new to student conduct or transitioning to conduct work from another functional area, as well as administrators with minimal or no conduct experience who have conduct officers in their supervisory portfolio.
