Teachers - Infant Room & Preschool
If you have a passion for working with young children, then we have a position for you!
Early Childhood Education courses are appreciated, but experience can be substituted. We are looking for dependable persons who can work with our youngest assets and teach them the important morals, values, and life skills needed to become upstanding citizens and successful academically. If you understand how to create a learning environment that allows children to play, yet discover the important wonders of the world, then you are our person.
Teachers must be able to:
understand NCDHHS policies and procedures
carry out daily schedules and routines
prepare activities that teach age appropriate goals and objectives
identify developmental needs of individual children
understand emotional and physical cues of children and react appropriately.
show love and compassion to all children every day under stressful situations, or joyful situations.
communicate with parents daily in a positive manner through electronic messages, newsletters, or verbal conversations.
complete necessary documentation required for their children.
supervise their assigned, or not assigned, children during their assigned hours.(all children are our children)
play with the children, read to the children, sing with the children, laugh with the children and even cry at times.
maintain cleanliness and order of their assigned worked space.
make supervisor aware of any issues within the daycare immediately to avoid harm or confusion.
work with their peers in a professional manner, regardless of personal feelings.
train teacher assistants to carry out their duties efficiently.
all other duties administration assigns.
Pay
Wages will be set based on education, experience or background. There will be a 30 day probationary period with all employees that do not sign a contract. After 30 days we will look at work performance and attendance.
Attendance Policy
Daycare is not an occupation where you can call in 20 mins before you are scheduled to work. When you are scheduled to work it is because you are needed to ensure the ratio of children to adult is correct. We must maintain state and local policies in order to continue to work ourselves. At least 12-hours is required for illness.
