Driver License Requirement:
Students needing to fulfill their Graduated Driver Licensing requirement can register for a free class by going to www.kentuckysafedriver.com and clicking on the Alive at 25 links located under Courses or by calling 502/699-2295. The next course is offered on Thursday, September 12th, at Western Hills from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Final Forms:
As part of our ongoing commitment to streamline administrative processes and ensure compliance with district and state regulations, Western Hills High School is excited to announce the implementation of FinalForms for all student-athletes. Registration for Fall sports is open and is MANDATORY for ALL student-athletes. Registration for Winter and Spring sports will open at a later date; check our Facebook page for updates. Youth Salute Scholarships - Applications are due September 27, 2024:
The purpose of this program is to honor high school juniors in your community who maintain a high scholastic average and have demonstrated leadership ability. There are over $112,000 in scholarship awards given.
In order to be eligible for this program, students must be high school juniors (senior class of 2026). Have at least a cumulative 3.0 G.P.A. through their sophomore year. (Any student who attains a 3.0 G.P.A. by the end of the fall semester of their junior year may submit a late nomination by January 15th, 2025.)Have held TWO LEADERSHIP ROLES to which they were chosen by their peers or an adult leader within the past two years in school, religious or community sponsored organizations.

PSAT:
The PSAT will be offered at Western Hills on October 23rd during the school day. Any student in grades 9-11 can sign up to take the exam. The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test designed to help students prepare for the SAT or ACT and to qualify for National Merit Scholarship programs (qualifying for the scholarship is only available for competing Juniors). ESS (Extended School Services):
ESS will begin before and after school tutoring the week of September 16th. Math and Social Studies will be held on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-4:15, English on Thursday mornings from 8:00-8:30, and Science on Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:15.
FFA Mums and Fall Decor:
It is that time again when the cool temps are just around the corner. Let us deliver your fall decorations for you. We will deliver the package you want and then set it up in the location that you want at your house or place of business. We will also be selling Mums, and these are special this year because our own Agriculture students grew them this summer. Please see the attached flyers for details on our options. Powderpuff Game:
Our annual Powderpuff game is next Friday, September 13 at 6:30pm on the football field. Our senior team will be taking on the underclassmen team in a game of flag football. Please come out and support our girls at this exciting senior class fundraiser!
Special Called SBDM Meeting
